Sharrow Community Forum
Sharrow Community Forum is a community development trust, established in 1997, which works to strengthen communities in the Sharrow area of Sheffield. We work together with the local community to improve services, bring people together, build the community’s voice, and generally make the local community a better place to live. We deliver services and activities from the Old Junior School, Highfield Adventure Playground and manage the spaces at Highfield Trinity Church.
Our Mission is to strengthen communities in Sharrow by improving the quality of life, building the community’s voice, and bringing people together. Our main areas of work are around supporting children, young people and families, community cohesion and community involvement, and providing accessible and affordable community spaces for hire.
Sharrow Community Forum is a membership organisation, constituted as a limited company (3338021) and a registered charity (1081829). Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, or has an interest in Sharrow and we currently have around 80 members. Some members represent organisations but most are individuals who live in and around Sharrow . The membership elect a Board of Trustees each year at our Annual General Meeting in the autumn.
