The proposed new Sharrow Hub consultation was completed by Sheffield City Council at the end of November 2009. We are awaiting the outcome of this consultation, before a Cabinet report is compiled in early 2010. SCF gathered nearly 200 responses to the consultation by knocking on over 1500 doors and Sharrow CAB added questions to their annual user survey. So hopefully the outcome will be positive for Sharrow. The consultation leaflet can been accessed from here
SCF has invested 5 years of work into the Sharrow Programme, which the hub is part of. This has resulted in the new Sharrow Primary School, the revamped Mount Pleasant Park, and the Lowfield MyPlace plans. SCF believes that the re-use of the Sharrow Junior school site to include a new building to house the library and CAB would benefit local people by supporting better services. SCF has a place on the Programme Board to represent community groups and local people.
