Since 2004 the unique Sharrow Lantern Carnival has been bringing light, laughter and music to the local community. This year, at dusk on the 13th April, after weeks of preparation by community members, around 3000 people from all walks of life, danced and promenaded around the streets – from Mount Pleasant Park to Sheffield General Cemetery – holding high their Space themed lanterns.
On 13th April, local people will be ready, at dusk, to promenade through the streets of Sharrow, holding high their SPACE themed lanterns. Expect to see planets, space ships, all manner of aliens, maybe even a Starship Enterprise or anything else that you can possibly imagine!
We are also looking for stewards to help at the event, no previous experience is necessary. If you would like to get involved please contact Luisa on firstname.lastname@example.org
